Background

Originally known in the collection of Missouri Botanical Garden later published in 1986 by scientist Dr. T. Croat. This interesting specimen belongs to the Cardiolonchium section, the misterious velvet underground, in Jay Vaninni's article. A very desireable Panamanian terrestrial that can be vary in leaf shape and size in cultivation and at the locality in the nature.

The velotinous and black leaf blade is the most appealing feature of ornamental aroids. This particular specimen is known as "Fort Sherman." A difficulty even for collectors all around the world due to its purity and, most likely, the scarcity of original provenance information. Identifying a 'Pap' in its purest form may be a lot of fun because in-person sightings are quite rare. Houseplant collectors can begin their trip with this species.

Requires 50% up to 80% room humidity, temperate climate between 68°F to 77°F is needed for better grows.

Water

Water well on dry/summer every 5 days, please wait until top 3inches soil are dry. Once the watering habit are established for maximum grows, this plant can thrive for very long time. Wait for longer gap between watering in winter as most of the wild specimen has it's habit on defending its life by dormancy. Make sure your plant medium get fairly dry.

Requires well balanced acidity soil (6.5 to 7 pH) with well drained substrate that rich in organic matters
