Background

The genus Homalomena belongs to the Araceae family of herbaceous flowering plants and has a fragrant perfume resembling that of dried anise and other tuberous herbs. Despite the fact that they are not closely related, Homalomena and other aroid plants like Schismatoglottis can be difficult to distinguish from one another. Grow differently in the natural habitat depending on the habit and the ecosystem. This particular specimen is a rare offering from Bengkulu in the western section of Sumatera. Despite being one of the cities that multiple well-known botanists have seen, this specimen has not yet been described. Beautiful plants with medium-sized, glossy, metallic blue leaves that occasionally have a faint silver marking. An fascinating plant that can be cultivated in the home as a decorative houseplant or even in a shaded area of the yard.
