Background

The Begonia dracopelta species belongs to the Petermannia section in Begoniaceae family of flowering plants. a magnificent species of bullate leaf found on the Borneo Islands. can be found residing on the limestone walls surrounding waterfalls, which provide a very humid environment with an abundance of fresh spring water throughout the year. Highly advised for a treatment using a small enclosure, like a vivarium or terrarium, with high humidity and regulated temperature to ensure the best growth.

Wait for longer gap between watering in winter as most of the wild specimen has it's habit on defending its life by dormancy. Make sure your plant medium get fairly dry.
