Background

Emblemantha urnulata is species of flowering Primrose sub-family Myrsinaceae. Known as an endemic plants to Riau, Sumatera. Living in only 3 different area with varieties in colors. There is very limited information available to science about its morphology. The plants are little undershrubs with brilliantly colored leaves that have grayish-green undersurfaces and magenta veins and bright green interveins on the upper surfaces. The species name coming from its urnulate flower parts. A perfect addition to your ornamental terrarium or even potted as a houseplant.
